Wendy Paton Studio

73 Bridge Street
Lambertville, NJ 08530

609-397-5390

An award winning fine art photographer, Wendy Paton was in the throes of a successful ground breaking career training and driving Standardbred race horses in New York, when in 1981 her interest in . . . photography emerged.
Wendy studied photography at the International Center of Photography in New York City, learned the intricacies of night photography from Michael Kenna, and darkroom printing techniques from her mentor and collaborator, master printer Chuck Kelton.
Paton’s series of black and white candid night images, Visages de Nuit was first exhibited in 2009 in Clues To Identity, at the International Center of Photography, Rita K. Hillman Gallery. Her first solo exhibition in New York followed in March of 2010 at Sous Les Etoiles Gallery. The artist’s European debut of her Visages de Nuit images opened in January 2011 in the exhibition, American Portraits at In Focus Galerie, Cologne, Germany. A retrospective of the Visages de Nuit series in its entirety (2006 – 2012) opened September 2012 at The Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography, Moscow, Russia. Paton’s first monograph, Visages de Nuit, published by Kehrer Verlag, was released September 2012 internationally, and in the US April of 2013. She is professionally represented by Sous Les Etoiles Gallery, NYC; In Focus Galerie, Cologne, Germany and Lumiere Gallery, Moscow, Russia.
Paton’s American solo museum debut, WENDY PATON | NUIT BLANCHE, opened August, 2014 at the James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The exhibit includes major selections from the artist’s series Visages de Nuit and Reclaiming Dignity.
Karen Sinsheimer, Curator of Photography, Santa Barbara Museum of Art observes “What photographer Paton has so beautifully conveyed visually is what Henry Wadsworth Longfellow expressed peoetically about humankind: We are ships that pass in the night…Only a look and a voice, then darkness again and a silence.”
Paton’s work has been exhibited in gallery and museum venues internationally and is in notable private and museum collections in the US and Europe. Her emphasis is shooting with black and white film and producing her work as silver gelatin prints, completed in her studio darkroom in New Jersey.

Lambertville, NJ 08530

609 658-6824

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is a nonprofit veterans service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, guard and reserve forces.
We . . . trace our roots back to 1899 when veterans of the Spanish-American War (1898) and the Philippine Insurrection (1899-1902) founded local organizations to secure rights and benefits for their service. Many arrived home wounded or sick. There was no medical care or veterans’ pension for them, and they were left to care for themselves.
Our Mission: To foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, the military and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans.
Our Vision: Ensure that veterans are respected for their service, always receive their earned entitlements, and are recognized for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of this great country.

Bucks Beautiful

85 East State Street
Doylestown, PA 18901

215-340-3639

The origin of Bucks Beautiful started with Robert & Joyce Byers in the late 1980’s. Inspired by a tour through Europe, they wanted to start an initiative to beautify Bucks County’s small town . . . residential communities and it’s rolling landscapes with a wealth of lush public gardens. The Byers noticed how each European town center would feature beautiful gardens fostering great community pride, creating a wonderful sense of place. Since historic Bucks County is already internationally recognized for its history, the arts, its beautiful surroundings and philanthropic spirit; the Byers knew they could bring others together to emulate this remarkable European tradition in our own local communities and small towns. And in 1990, Betz Laboratories CEO Jack McCaughan (now retired) and his wife Carol joined the Byers in officially founding Bucks Beautiful, a 501c3 non profit community organization.
Bucks Beautiful is designed to promote and extend the development of gardens in communities, towns, along roads, business premises and private homes. Bucks Beautiful’s goal is to complement the world fame of Bucks County with a parade of lush, distinctive gardens. Individuals, organizations and businesses are invited to participate in Bucks Beautiful and beautify Bucks County with distinctive gardens reflecting variety, color, creativity and visual impact.

River Valley Realty

45 North Main Street
Lambertville, NJ 08530

609-397-3007

Welcome to River Valley Realty, a full-service, privately owned, Main Street real estate company. We pride ourselves on delivering impressive results for buyers and sellers on both sides of the . . . Delaware River. In addition to our flagship office in Lambertville, N.J., we have an office in the heart of New Hope, PA., and more recently, opened another office in historic Flemington, N.J.
The areas we serve include the Delaware River towns of Stockton, Frenchtown, New Hope and Washington Crossing and the surrounding farm, equine and residential communities of Hunterdon and Mercer counties in New Jersey and Bucks County, Pa. River Valley Realty specializes in purchasing and selling historic farms, country estates, equine properties, land and acreage, farmhouses, in-town properties, vacation and riverfront homes, substantial acreage, equine properties, estate homes and historic properties.
Owner Kim Ward Bacso established River Valley Realty in Lambertville in 2012 because she identified a strong need for engaged, informed agents who can provide knowledgeable guidance on issues specific to the different types of properties found in the Delaware River Valley. As an agent with more than 20 years of experience, Kim recognized an opportunity for an independently owned company to market unique properties in a way that is noticeably different from the corporate-owned models so prevalent in the real estate community.
Fueled by high-performing, full-time agents and creative marketing programs, River Valley Realty has achieved solid success in a relatively short time and already has gained significant market share in many of the areas it serves. As River Valley Realty’s office and agent roster grew, it became clear that buyers and sellers were eager to embrace a local, owner-operated real estate company.
Indeed, Kim has earned considerable recognition as a hands-on owner who enjoys being directly involved in River Valley Realty’s daily operations and in the communities her company serves.
River Valley’s Pennsylvania office opened in 2014 to serve our New Jersey customers interested in moving out of state and to introduce our boutique services to the Pennsylvania market. In 2015, we added our commercial and property management team to further assist our clients.
During autumn 2017, River Valley Realty celebrated its growing business by opening a new office in Flemington, expanding its reach into neighboring market areas.

Shad’Toberfest Canceled

As you may have heard, Lambertville was devastated by flooding from Ida.

We decided to cancel Shad’Tober. The decision was not reached lightly. However, we could not burden the already stressed infrastructure of the City. The festival brings thousands of visitors to Lambertville and that burden would not help our City right now. The need in Lambertville is great with over half the homes in the City affected by Hurricane Ida’s unprecedented flooding. There are some people that will spend a year getting their house back to a livable condition and some who will never return to their beloved homes because of the severe damage they sustained. In light of this tragedy, we are working on a fundraiser to benefit those flood victims hit hardest by
Hurricane Ida. Stay tuned for details.
