This year’s Shad Festival will include an even bigger way to support our arts community and the Shad Festival Arts Scholarship Fund. The Delaware River Towns Chamber and Visitors Bureau is throwing Shad Fest a big birthday party, and you’re invited!
The Select Poster Auction Gala, honoring Jim Hamilton, will take place at the Rago Art & Auction Center from 6:30pm to 9:30pm on Saturday April 3oth.  This special event has also commissioned a select number of one-of-a-kind Shad Festival commemorative posters which will be auctioned off to support scholarships for students from Lambertville and New Hope to pursue their college degrees in the arts. Light fare will be served, along with an open bar (wine & beer). A $25 contribution to the scholarship fund is welcomed upon entry.
You’re also invited to continue the Shad Fest fun at the Artists Opening Reception at the Presbyterian Church the evening of Friday, April 29, from 6pm to 8pm. All posters will be on present for this evening, as well as many of the artists behind them. This free event is always a favorite!
Then, posters will be available to view on Saturday and Sunday between 12pm to 5pm at the Presbyterian Church on North Union Street.
And, as always, you won’t want to miss the traditional annual Shad Festival Poster Live Auction, which will be held 3pm Sunday, May 1st, at the First Presbyterian Church on North Union Street. Numerous posters will be available through the popular silent auction throughout the weekend, with bidding closing at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 1st.
Don’t miss the opportunity to bid on the beautiful artwork created by our community’s leading artists — and remember, proceeds support the scholarship program.

Shad’Toberfest Canceled

As you may have heard, Lambertville was devastated by flooding from Ida.

We decided to cancel Shad’Tober. The decision was not reached lightly. However, we could not burden the already stressed infrastructure of the City. The festival brings thousands of visitors to Lambertville and that burden would not help our City right now. The need in Lambertville is great with over half the homes in the City affected by Hurricane Ida’s unprecedented flooding. There are some people that will spend a year getting their house back to a livable condition and some who will never return to their beloved homes because of the severe damage they sustained. In light of this tragedy, we are working on a fundraiser to benefit those flood victims hit hardest by
Hurricane Ida. Stay tuned for details.
