The bold “5 & Dime” sign – familiar, historic – greets you on the corner of Union and Coryell Streets in Lambertville, NJ. The fun and funky window displays are inviting and active, displaying a taste of the items you’ll find inside: handcrafted, unique decor and gifts!
Ana and Martin Leyland are the owners and visionaries behind A Mano Gallery. The couple opened A Mano 37 years ago and are proud to be decorating and serving their beloved Lambertville and New Hope area in such a fun way!
“I love how much our local community supports the retail and restaurant establishments here,” Ana told me. “At A Mano, I’m always meeting new people from around the world, and also from around the corner! I love that I don’t have to commute and I have everything I need right here, locally.”
The Leyland’s, originally from England and South America, settled in New Hope 42 years ago. After opening A Mano in 1981, they joined the local Chamber of Commerce as a way to integrate themselves and further support their new local community.
“The Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce really does what is best for the entire community, and that is very important to me” Ana says. “They really do a great job promoting all of our businesses in various ways.”
A Mano Gallery beautifully exemplifies the Delaware River Towns: honoring craftsmanship, eclecticism, and lots of character!
