Summertime Clambake

What’s better than a summertime clambake? Head to the Lumberville General Store on August 13, 2017 between 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm for a delicious dinner.
The Lumberville General Store has stood on River Road since 1770. Over the years – with ownership passing from local family to local family – the General Store has always honored the same fundamental tradition: providing a place for the community to congregate. In fact, culinary queen Julia Child married her husband Paul in Lumberville on September 1, 1946.
While visitors may no longer rely on the store for their weekly groceries these days, they can now stop in for a delicious bite.

Here’s the mouth-watering menu:

FIRST COURSE
Old Bay and cheddar biscuits with smoked fish spread

SECOND COURSE
Summer garden salad with blue cheese

ENTRÉE
Steamed clams, mussels, and shrimp served family style over potatoes, corn and sausage
Cornbread with honey butter

DESSERT
Peach polenta cake and assorted cookies

Adults $19.95 | Kids $9.95 | BYOB

Shad’Toberfest Canceled

As you may have heard, Lambertville was devastated by flooding from Ida.

We decided to cancel Shad’Tober. The decision was not reached lightly. However, we could not burden the already stressed infrastructure of the City. The festival brings thousands of visitors to Lambertville and that burden would not help our City right now. The need in Lambertville is great with over half the homes in the City affected by Hurricane Ida’s unprecedented flooding. There are some people that will spend a year getting their house back to a livable condition and some who will never return to their beloved homes because of the severe damage they sustained. In light of this tragedy, we are working on a fundraiser to benefit those flood victims hit hardest by
Hurricane Ida. Stay tuned for details.
